Whenever I flew I ALWAYS wondered why there was just a #2 on the wing and kept looking for the #1. Maybe there was a #3 somewhere?
And then one day it finally dawned on me that it’s an icon for a hook! So to memorialize my confusion and minor stupidity I decided to make a typeface out of it!
This isn’t final yet, just the early sketch. I’d like to get some contrast on the vertical/horizontals, add some ink traps. Plus the 1, 4, 7, and 8 feel a little generic. Once I clean things up, keep an eye out for a downloadable numeral set! (if I can figure that out…)
